Print files and nesting

Print-ready files made on approval, never overwritten.

For sublimation and all-over print

  • Graded files per size
  • Nesting at your fabric width
  • Matching cut files
  • Reprints by piece, with a reason

Sublimation print files without the late nights

A sublimated team order can mean hundreds of pieces: a front, a back and two sleeves for every player, each in that player's size, with their own name and number. Building those files by hand in design software takes hours and one wrong size ruins a shirt. Dyenzo makes the print files for you the moment the artwork is approved.

What you get on approval

  • A file for every panel of every player, at that player's size, for kit designed in 3D.
  • A file for every print area of a 2D design.
  • Your resolution, bleed and mirroring, set once in your print settings.
  • PNG, PDF or SVG files, with names built from your own pattern so your RIP and cutter pick them up.
  • One ZIP with every file, the team list, the source artwork and a list of what is inside.

Never overwritten

Print files are kept for each approval. If the customer changes the design and approves again, Dyenzo makes a new set and keeps the old one. You always know which files went to print and which design they came from.

Checked before production

Each set of print files lands in a pre-press queue for a quick check before release. Files are checked against the print method's rules for resolution, size and safe zone. A set with a problem cannot be released unless someone gives a reason, and that reason is kept.

Graded and nested with Dyenzo Print

For sublimated teamwear, Dyenzo Print takes the released files further. Each piece is placed on the real pattern piece for its size, so a back number stays the same height and the same distance from the neck from small to 3XL. Then every piece of the order is nested on the roll.

StepWhat happens
Grading Each panel fitted to the true pattern piece of the player's size
Nesting Pieces packed on the roll at the width of the fabric loaded, turned only 0 or 180 degrees to keep the grain
Long orders Split into several rolls of whole garments
Cut files A matching cut file for every roll
Order separator A line and the order reference at the start of each roll file
Release Sent to the printer's hot folder, never overwriting a file already there

Reprints with a reason

Pieces get misprinted. Reprint just the pieces you need, from one order or several, with a reason for each and who asked. Reprints are nested on their own roll for the right fabric and logged, so you can see what reprints cost you each month.

Other print files

For screen printing, Dyenzo can add one black film per ink for solid-colour designs. For DTF, released files go onto gang sheets. For embroidery, stitch files are added in the format your machine reads.

File names your machines understand

Set a naming pattern once from parts such as the order, the line, the print location and the size. Every file follows it, so a RIP, a cutter or a hot folder can sort files by name. Where your inks have names, the ZIP also holds a colour list for each piece of art.

Questions

Do I still need my RIP software?

Yes. Dyenzo makes the print and cut files; your RIP software prints them as usual.

Can I change a file after it is made?

Approve a changed design and Dyenzo makes a new set. The earlier set is kept, never overwritten.

Does it work for 2D designs too?

Yes. Every print area of a 2D design gets its own file, and combined sheets per line can be added if you want them.
